Wow! This has been the best record-release week EVER for The Orange Peels. Reviews have been coming in at a fast clip, and they’re all really, super supportive of Sun Moon. Waking up Thursday morning to see ourselves on the cover of the San Francisco Chronicle‘s 96Hours section was surreal and surprising, and the feature by Chronicle writer Kimberly Chun was one of the best we’ve ever had.
Tonight, we’re playing two back-to-back shows at Cafe Du Nord with our friends The Ocean Blue. There may still be some tickets left to the early show, but if you wanna play it safe, order advance tickets.
This morning, we woke up to our music on local NPR affiliate KQED on The DO List with Cy Musiker and David Wiegand. Later this afternoon, tune in to The California Report (locally at 4:30, 6 and 11 p.m.) for a review of Sun Moon by Los Angeles Times music writer Steve Hochman.
Tomorrow, we pack up and head off to Los Angeles for our sold-out show at the Satellite with The Ocean Blue, Willie Wisely and Luxembourg Signal. It’s been quite a week already, and we’re so looking forward to sharing these new songs with you in concert!
